Vintage interior design
A collection of photographs and videos is being released to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the creation of India’s first interior design magazine.
The series, entitled “The Modern Interior Design of India”, was released by the Ministry of Home Affairs on Wednesday.
The collection of images includes photographs and animations showing the development of India in the 1950s and 1960s.
It also includes photographs of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) and the prestigious National Institute of Design (NID).
The images also highlight the role of women in the industry, highlighting the early women’s movement, the first female secretaries of the IIT and the NID, and the first woman members of the board of directors of the NIC.
The exhibition also highlights the history of the industry and the influence of women’s artists and designers in shaping the design of the country.
The programme of the exhibition, titled “India: The Modern Interior Designer” is titled “A New Era in Design”.
The exhibition is also being released as part of the ‘Modern India: India’ project, which is aimed at promoting India as a modernising nation and a world leader in design.
The project is also headed by Dr Anand Gopalakrishnan, chairman of the Tata Institute of Social Sciences and the chairman of Tata Global, who is also the chairman and CEO of the World Bank.
