What you need to know about the interior design profession
In the interior designers profession, the most commonly referred term for the profession is interior design.
But the profession also encompasses a wide array of other occupations, including interior decorating, interior design, and furniture design.
It also encompasses occupations that have nothing to do with the design of homes.
And the profession itself has grown in popularity over the years.
“The number of interior design graduates in the United States increased from 6.8 million in 2013 to 7.9 million in 2020, with a total of 1.8 billion people now employed in the industry,” the Bureau of Labor Statistics reports.
And it’s growing fast.
The profession is expected to grow to more than 10.5 million by 2025, and by 2050 it is projected to grow by 17.4 million.
In 2019, the number of home designers in the U.S. reached 7.2 million, and the profession will grow to 9.4 in 2024.
The career paths for interior designers are diverse.
There are many career paths within the interior designer profession.
They can specialize in one or more of the following professions: Interior Design: This is a job that requires knowledge of design.
Many interior designers work in homes as a part of their work.
They work on home furnishings and architectural projects.
For example, interior designers design exterior walls, ceilings, and floors of a home.
Interior designers are also tasked with creating interior design for a variety of home products, such as furniture, furniture accessories, and more.
Some home design professionals specialize in the design and installation of home decor, but many are also involved in interior design and other design-related occupations.
Many of the interior designs are also commissioned by major home improvement companies.
There is also a growing interest in interior designs as a profession.
For instance, the U,S.
Census Bureau recently released a survey that showed the number one profession that is now increasing in the number, and growth is expected for the next several years.
Another profession that has emerged in recent years is furniture design, which is a more recent addition to the list of the profession’s growing interests.
Interior Design as a Career Career opportunities in the interior decorator industry can be found throughout the country.
They are spread across the country and include home remodeling, interior decorators, and interior designers.
Many occupations within the profession require a high degree of education and experience.
But, it’s the interior decoration industry, which encompasses many different occupations and is more closely associated with home improvement, that offers the most employment opportunities.
The majority of the jobs in the profession are in the commercial, home improvement and residential design fields.
The interior decoraters have an average annual wage of $42,800, which compares to an average of $30,300 for the construction industry, according to the Bureau for Labor Statistics.
In the last five years, the home improvement industry has grown by 10 percent and the interior building industry by 8 percent, according the Bureau.
Home improvement workers also are considered highly educated and skilled.
About 35 percent of the total interior decorate work force is comprised of college graduates and 25 percent of those graduates are working in the field of home improvement.
A survey conducted by the Institute for Labor Economics and Peace, a trade association of interior designers, shows that the average salary for interior decorat workers was $53,400 in 2020.
There were also significant differences in the pay between interior designers and other professionals in the work force.
Interior decorators in the construction and interior design fields were paid more than $54,200, compared to interior designers in construction, who were paid $50,600.
The salaries for interior design workers also varied by occupation, although they tended to be higher in the professional design field, where the average wage was $57,600, according a survey of the National Association of Home Builders.
Some occupations within interior design are also being considered as part of the overall labor market.
These include interior designers working in retail, catering, and hospitality, and home interior designers who work in kitchens, bathrooms, and other kitchens.
The Bureau for Census has reported that home interior design is projected as a $8.9 billion industry in 2020 and $8 billion in 2025.
These numbers represent the largest increases in the home interior decor industry in the past 25 years.
And that’s just in the retail and hospitality industries.
There’s a variety among occupations within home interior decoration, as well.
Interior designer is the most popular job in the furniture industry, with about one-third of all interior designers earning more than the average worker in the craft.
